Stigma towards people who use drugs (PWUD), particularly people who have substance use disorders (SUD), has been identified as a pervasive problem across multiple healthcare sectors in North Carolina. Currently, there is no comprehensive list of stigma reduction trainings for NC health professionals, nor a synthesis of training components that are most impactful at reducing stigma. We propose conducting a scoping review of existing trainings with a particular focus on interprofessional trainings, given the interdisciplinary nature of care for patients with SUD.
