This research examines the occurrence of infection-associated haemophagocytic lymphohistiocytosis (HLH) in children diagnosed with scrub typhus.
Case series analysis of pediatric patients with scrub typhus complications.
Diagnosis of HLH based on clinical and laboratory findings.
Assessment of severity and outcomes associated with HLH.
HLH was identified in a subset of pediatric scrub typhus patients.
Complications of HLH increased the severity of scrub typhus infections.
Early diagnosis and treatment of HLH significantly improved patient outcomes.
