Systematic analysis reveals technological innovation boosts economies of internal combustion engines, highlighting industrial synergy.
The century-long symbiotic relationship between technological innovation and the economy of internal combustion engines is the core mechanism driving industrialization and has paradigmatic significance for understanding technological diffusion and industrial transformation. This paper selects representative historical cases covering technological breakthroughs, production changes and industrial synergy, and combines long-term data of key technologies and economic indicators to systematically analyze the complex symbiotic evolutionary relationship among technological breakthroughs, crisis catalysis and sustainable transformation from 1876 to 2020. Research shows that technology and economy present a "double helix" structurethe 70% weight reduction of Daimler's vertical gasoline engine has given rise to the economies of scale of Ford's assembly line, and the 30% cost reduction through the synergy effect in the Ruhr industrial area has given back to material innovation. External crises empower symbiotic transformation, while environmental protection transformation reveals the necessity of institutional synergy. This symbiotic evolution paradigm provides a historical mirror for the new energy era.
