This article examines dialect vocabulary use in the Raykovski Damaskin, revealing trends in the Rhodopean dialect's influence on the text using Cyrillic and Greek scripts.
The article examines the use of dialectal vocabulary from the Rhodopean dialects and from other Bulgarian dialects, included in the text of the Raykovski Damascin - a written monument of the Middle Rhodopean Revival (1859). A comparison is made with vocabulary from the original source text in a book by the Bulgarian Renaissance scholar Joakim Karchovski (1814). The peculiarities of vocabulary use in the source text with Cyrillic script and in the transcript with Greek script are shown. There is a tendency to use forms characteristic of the Rhodopean dialects in the transcript which is a part of the Raykovski Damaskin.
