Literature review highlights work-family conflict's effects on well-being and family life satisfaction, suggesting areas for future research.
Work and family are the two most common social roles in people's lives. While they support each other, work and family dynamics can also conflict. When em-ployees experience work-family conflicts, it directly impacts their family life satisfaction and personal well-being. Therefore, promoting work-family bal-ance has become a hot topic in current research. This paper reviews the liter-ature on the origins and development of work-family conflicts, their definitions, dimensions, measurement methods, as well as the antecedent and consequence variables, and proposes suggestions for future research directions.
