The use of mobile apps for chronic disease management is growing worldwide. We followed 20 participants diagnosed with type 2 diabetes for four weeks while they used forDiabetes: diabetes self-management mobile app aiming to identify the most frequently used features in the mobile app. We found that the number of entries varied widely between participants, but all of them used the function to enter their blood sugar values most frequently, followed by monitoring their medication intake. It is important to identify patient needs and create a mobile app that includes the features patients need to manage their diabetes effectively.
