Multifunctional sensors improve respiration monitoring in human healthcare, highlighting black phosphorus's potential.
Respiration is considered as one of the most essential physiological signals, which can be used to monitor human healthcare and activities. Thus, it is necessary to develop new generation of wearable respiration sensors and related sensing material to monitor early respiration disease indexes (e.g., frequency, continuity, volume and blood oxygen). Black phosphorus (BP), a typical 2D layered material with unique electronic and optoelectronic properties, has been proved to own excellent sensing behavior in different fields, including gas, humidity, and illumination. However, realizing multifunctional BP‐based flexible sensors for respiratory diseases remains a challenge, especially considering the stability itself. Here we report the preparation of high‐quality BP nanosheets and thin films. Based on BP thin films, a multifunctional sensor is fabricated with high sensing performance for respiration, strain, and illumination. Our work provides a potential way for BP stacked films in commercial wearable sensing applications.
