Abstract

Many communities still struggle to receive timely, affordable healthcare due to infrastructure and accessibility gaps.. To address this, we propose an AI-powered healthcare chatbot aimed at enhancing communication between patients and healthcare professionals. Built with accessibility in mind, this chatbot offers real-time support for medical queries, emergency situations, and mental health concerns through an easy-to-use conversational interface. By using NLP techniques, the system enables patients to describe symptoms in their preferred regional language, ensuring clarity and comfort. Artificial Intelligence has significantly reshaped healthcare practices, with intelligent conversational agents standing at the forefront of this transformation. The proposed chatbot leverages the power of AI to perform preliminary health assessments, assist in appointment scheduling, deliver medication alerts, and offer basic mental health support. The ultimate aim is to build a scalable, user-centric, and cost-effective healthcare assistant that not only empowers patients with early interventions but also alleviates the workload of healthcare practitioners, making quality healthcare more inclusive and efficient for all.
