Case report highlights MRI findings of funicular spermatic cord hydrocele, indicating the need for early diagnosis and treatment.
Funicular spermatic cord hydrocele (SCH) is an uncommon condition characterized by fluid collection in the processus vaginalis (PV) which is obliterated distally but remains patent at the internal inguinal ring3. In this study we present a case of funicular hydrocele of the spermatic cord with characteristic MRI findings, in an 18-year-old, to increase its awareness as early diagnosis and treatment can limit disability and complications.
