Semi-experimental study shows significant improvement in crisis management skills among student counselors, suggesting AI training effectiveness.
The aim of the study was to verify the effectiveness of a counseling training program based on artificial intelligence applications to develop the skills of dealing with crises among student counselors. The study relied on the semi-experimental one-set curriculum and was conducted on an experimental sample of (22) Student mentors (10 male and 12 female) affiliated with Dammam Education Department in the Eastern Region of Saudi Arabia. The study used a crises management scale prepared by the researcher and a counseling training program based on artificial intelligence applications that was also prepared by the researcher. Results indicated statistically significant differences between members of the experimental group in the pre-measure and the post-measure on the crisis handling scale (dimensions, overall grade) in favor of the post-measure, indicating the effectiveness of the counseling training program based on artificial intelligence applications in developing the level of the skills of dealing with crises among student counselors, and the absence of statistical differences in the level of the skills of dealing with crises (Dimensions and overall degree) among the members of the experimental group is attributable to the variable of sex, experience and study specialization on the pre measure, and the existence of statistically significant differences in the level of the skills of dealing with crises (dimensions and overall grade) among the members of the experimental group on the pre and the tracking measure in favor of the tracking measure.
