Experimental analysis shows CPCM reduces peak temperature by 15.3% in robots, indicating enhanced thermal stability.
This paper proposes a thermal management technology based on the combination of Composite Phase Change Material (CPCM) and traditional air-cooling for the heat dissipation needs of the main control board of the robot under high load conditions. Through experiments, it is verified that CPCM can effectively absorb the transient thermal shock of the power module, reduce the peak temperature, and improve the thermal stability of the system. The solution of automatic temperature control based on analog comparator circuits further ensures the stability of the phase change material by directly realizing the acquisition of temperature signals, threshold judgment, and executive control through hardware circuits. The research results show that compared with the traditional heat dissipation scheme, CPCM can reduce the temperature of the power part of the main control board by 15.3%, providing theoretical support for the long-term reliable operation of the robot.
