The advancement of information technology has significantly transformed various sectors, including healthcare. One of the major innovations implemented in hospitals is the Electronic Health Record (EHR), a digital system for storing, managing, and sharing patients' medical information electronically. This study aims to examine the impact of EHR implementation in healthcare facilities using a literature review method. The findings indicate that EHR adoption has positive effects, such as improved hospital operational efficiency, easier access to patient data, and enhanced coordination among medical staff. Additionally, this system contributes to better data security and reduces the risk of medication errors. However, some studies reveal negative impacts, including decreased job satisfaction among healthcare workers, technical system disruptions, and adaptation challenges for medical staff less familiar with technology. Therefore, EHR implementation should be accompanied by appropriate adaptation strategies to maximize its benefits and minimize potential challenges.
