Literature review highlights microbiota transplantation for bacterial vaginosis, suggesting alternatives to traditional probiotics.
In the literature review, based on the analysis of domestic and foreign sources of recent years, an idea is given about an alternative pathogenetic treatment of an urgent pathology — bacterial vaginosis using transplantation of vaginal microbiota from healthy donors. A critical look at the traditional ways of restoring the vaginal microbiota using probiotics is presented. The advantages as well as the objective difficulties of implementing transplantation techniques are described — technical, legal, ethical.
