The aim of this study is to study the level of knowledge among nursing staff about overweight and obesity, as well as understanding the opinions that influence the quality of medical services and the attitudes of nurses caring for patients with excess body weight. The first part of this paper defines the issues of overweight and obesity, including diagnosis as well as pharmacological, non-pharmacological, and invasive treatment methods. The second part presents the research conducted with the application of the diagnostic survey method and questionnaire technique. A total of 161 participants took part in the study, and their responses were analyzed based on sociodemographic characteristics. The results show a significant need for the education of nursing staff in these areas to ensure professional care and essential support for patients.</ns3:p>
