Exploratory analysis reveals diverse needs and recognition among instructors and learners in e-learning, suggesting improved methodologies.
It is possible to utilize various media and technologies in order to improve the efficiency and effectiveness as well as the interaction of teaching-learning. Especially, in order to develop e-learning contents, it has been continuously tried to utilize the latest media and technology appropriately to maximize the interactivity and efficiency and effectiveness of teaching-learning. However, the introduction of methodologies that utilize entirely new media and technologies that have not been used before should be taken seriously. This is because the demands of stakeholders vary widely. Therefore, before introducing the methodology utilizing new media and technology in earnest, it is necessary to analyze the recognition and needs of various stakeholders. It is aimed to investigate and analyze the recognitions and needs of instructors, learners, and contents developers through the case of university A, which developed and operated e-learning contents by experimentally introducing one-person media emerging as the newest media. It is aimed at obtaining practical feedback necessary for full-scale application of the one-person media in the near future as well. It is conducted in-depth interviews with the instructors who participated in the development of the experimental one-person media content, the instructors who did not participate, and the contents development specialists such as the photographing specialists, professor designers, and web designers. Also, it is investigated the satisfaction of learners who learned through e-learning contents developed. As a result of the study, both participant and non - participant instructors gave positive opinion that developing contents using one-person media would be effective for interaction. In terms of efficiency, however, both participant and non - participant teachers were negative and should consider the additional requirements to solve this problem. The results of this study are meaningful to present the practical matters necessary to improve the interaction and efficiency and effectiveness of teaching-learning when developing contents using the one- person media in earnest.
