Numerical simulation reveals how explosive ground impact loads affect surrounding rock stability, suggesting design safety improvements for tunnels.
With the continuous development of underground engineering construction in China, research on the stability of underground structures is particularly important. To analyze the deformation and destruction characteristics of surrounding rock in tunnels under the action of explosion-induced ground shock loads, this study adopted the method of applying equivalent remote explosion loads. Models were established using various numerical simulation software programs, and appropriate parameters were selected for simulation. Analysis was conducted under four conditions: initial stress state of the tunnel, peak and location of ground shock loads, rock mass grade, and tunnel shape. By analyzing the deformation and destruction characteristics of surrounding rock under the action of explosion-induced ground shock loads, this study identified the effects of factors such as lateral pressure coefficient, depth, peak load, location, and tunnel shape on tunnel stability. The research findings are of great significance for improving the design and construction safety of underground tunnels, especially in proposing design and protection measures for high-risk conditions, providing important reference for the safety of future underground engineering.
