The Ride Shield system improves bike safety through accident detection and engine monitoring, suggesting enhanced security.
Ensuring a safe and secure ride during bike travel is a critical concern, especially with the increasing use of two- wheelers in urban and rural areas. This paper introduces "Ride Shield," an advanced IoT-based system designed to enhance bike safety through multiple innovative features. The system includes an alert mechanism that displays messages on an LCD screen when high engine temperature is detected, preventing potential engine damage and accidents. Additionally, Ride Shield incorporates an accident detection module that sends SMS alerts to emergency contacts, ensuring timely assistance. For enhanced oversight, the system monitors accident frequency and sends email notifications to the Regional Transport Office (RTO) if the limit is exceeded, prompting necessary interventions. The project also addresses nighttime riding safety by integrating a radar system that detects obstacles and displays them on the LCD screen, complemented by an alarm system to alert the rider. Furthermore, the system detects oil leaks, providing notifications on the LCD and sending SMS alerts to prevent engine failure and accidents. Ride Shield leverages IoT technology to provide real-time monitoring and alerts, significantly improving rider safety and vehicle maintenance. The integration of multiple safety features makes Ride Shield a comprehensive solution for modern bike safety management.oring.
