Analysis identifies principles for placing multi-purpose healthcare facilities in urban settings, indicating urban planning must consider spatial arrangement.
The effective location of medical institutions in the urban infrastructure is one of the key tasks of town-building design. The purpose of this article is to analyze the location of multi-purpose healthcare facilities (MHFs) in the urban environment, as well as to determine the principles of development and reconstruction of the territory of multi-purpose healthcare facilities that affect the modeling of the master plan and space-planning solutions of multi-purpose healthcare facilities during reconstruction. To accomplish the goals to be sought, the authors analyzed the theoretical and practical experience (taking into account the personal experience of the article authors) of locating multi-purpose healthcare facilities in the urban environment. The result of the research is the determination of MHFs reconstruction principles that affect the architectural and planning solutions and master planning solutions.
