Analysis reveals failure modes impact pressurization tests in aircraft, suggesting safety improvements.
This study applies the Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) method to conduct risk analysis and mitigation for the pressurization testing of civil aircraft airtight cabin doors. Based on a standardized pressurization test protocol, the impacts of failure modes on the testing process are thoroughly analysed. The severity (S), occurrence probability (O), and detectability (D) of subsystem failures determine the Action Priority (AP), enabling quantitative risk assessment of failure modes. Corresponding improvement and mitigation measures are proposed based on the analysis results, effectively reducing testing risks and enhancing the safety of airtight cabin door pressurization tests.
