This review analyzes laser jamming and anti-jamming technologies, highlighting advancements in military optoelectronic countermeasures.
With the wide application of optoelectronic countermeasures in the military field, laser jamming and anti-jamming technology has become a key component of offensive and defensive countermeasures in modern warfare. This paper systematically reviews the research progress of laser jamming and anti-jamming technology in semi-active laser guidance. Firstly, the laser jamming technology is classified and elaborated, including active jamming (e.g. angle deception jamming, high re-frequency laser jamming, blinding jamming) and passive jamming (e.g. smoke screen jamming, aerosol jamming, camouflage technology, etc.). The diffuse reflection principle of laser decoy jamming, the pulse competition mechanism of high-frequency jamming and the hard damage effect of blinding jamming are analyzed in particular. Secondly, for the anti-jamming technology, the application of redundant pulse coding, wavegate selection and pseudo-random coding in countering angle spoofing and high-frequency jamming is discussed, as well as their roles in enhancing the anti-jamming capability of the guidance system. Finally, combined with the current technical bottleneck, it is pointed out that multi-dimensional jamming fusion, intelligent identification and adaptive countermeasures will be the future development direction, and the importance of new jamming materials and high-precision tracking technology is also emphasized.
