Clinical experience reveals effective management of diffuse hair loss in patients with telogen effluvium, suggesting modern therapies improve outcomes.
Diffuse hair loss includes non-scarring hair loss caused by various reasons. Despite the variety of etiologic factors that can cause hair loss, these alopecies have one common feature: the stop of hair growth in an anagen stage. The variety of the causes of hair loss in these forms of alopecia makes the therapy and management difficult. In this article, the authors share their own clinical experience. Modern drugs and external agents allow achieving the effective results with the absence of side effects. The effectiveness of the therapy was assessed by clinical studies (visual examination and pull test assessment), as well as objective diagnostic methods: trichoscopy, trichogram and phototrichogram. The authors presented two clinical cases of therapy for patients with telogen effluvium.
