This framework identifies distributed loads in composite structures, suggesting improvements in structural health monitoring.
Dynamic/static load identification in composite structures has emerged as a significant research focus in structural health monitoring over recent years. However, current studies have primarily concentrated on concentrated load identification, with distributed load identification receiving relatively limited attention due to its inherent complexity. By integrating dynamic equilibrium equations of laminated composite microelements with the inverse finite element method (iFEM), a load identification framework is proposed in this study. This framework is specifically designed to accurately identify the distributed loads within composite structures. Subsequently, a simply supported CFRP laminate was employed to validify the accuracy of our method in the reconstruction of both the spatial distribution and load amplitude within laminated composite structures.
