A BSTRACT Background: The study aimed to assess the level of anxiety among elderly residents in selected old age homes. Objective: To evaluate the efficacy of Yoga-Nidra in reducing anxiety levels among elderly individuals residing in old age homes. Materials and Methods: A quantitative pre- and post-test design was employed with 50 participants. Data were collected using the DASS-21 questionnaire to assess anxiety levels and sociodemographic variables. Results: A significant reduction in anxiety was observed post-intervention, with the pre-test mean of 11.00 (SD = 3.528) and post-test mean of 7.96 (SD = 2.231) ( t = 7.432, P < 0.0001). Significant associations were found between anxiety levels and variables such as education (χ 2 = 20.842, P = 0.0076), income (χ 2 = 11.311, P = 0.0035), and family contact (χ 2 = 16.773, P = 0.0102). Conclusion: Yoga-Nidra is an effective intervention for reducing anxiety among elderly individuals in old age homes.
