Analysis reveals how temperature-load coupling affects dynamic response in bridge deck structures, suggesting improved material design.
The viaduct structure, a key symbol of urban development, plays a central role in city construction. In China, where the static pavement structure design system is primarily used, the time–temperature characteristics of pavement materials are not adequately considered. This oversight limits the ability to explain and prevent early damage to the pavement. This paper systematically investigates the design method of urban viaduct deck structures, using finite element analysis (ABAQUS), structural dynamics theory, and experimental testing. The study focuses on the dynamic response behavior of the structure under temperature-load coupling effects. Key factors such as vehicle load, bridge deck structural parameters, and others are examined for their impact on the dynamic response of the pavement structure. Orthogonal testing and multiple regression analysis are applied to develop a dynamic response model for the viaduct deck under varying temperature conditions. The goal is to offer insights for improving paving materials and optimizing deck structures to enhance the performance and longevity of urban viaducts.
