Proposed method reduces PAPR by 2–4 dB in hybrid fiber-satellite networks, indicating improved signal transmission.
This paper proposes a method for reducing Peak-to-Average Power Ratio (PAPR) in hybrid fiber-satellite networks using shaping filters with orthogonal access methods. The approach combines various filter types (RC, RRC, BTRC, OBTRC) with flexible guard intervals to optimize signal transmission in satellite and optical channels. Simulation results show PAPR reduction of 2–4 dB compared to conventional methods, with DFT-s-OFDM-based technologies demonstrating the best performance under challenging channel conditions including Doppler shift and dispersion effects.
