Application of gamification improves recovery and social reintegration in elderly surgical patients, suggesting benefits for social sustainability.
Social and economic sustainability is related to the recovery and social reintegration of people who have undergone surgery. The objective of this work is to report the application of gamification for the recovery of elderly people after surgery in a public hospital in the city of São Paulo - SP. The team used the initial briefing, the collection of information through the empathy map, types of players, insight cards and affinity diagram for the analysis and treatment of data and octalysis as instruments for creating gamification proposals. Adherence to the experience was immediate, there was an increase in walking levels in addition to the perception of increased levels of social relationships between patients and the team. We conclude that UXDesign, with gamification as an instrument, promoted socialization, cost reduction and improved the quality of life of patients.
