Pilot project demonstrates improved reliability and reduced costs in spacecraft management, highlighting SCADA and OPC UA benefits.
The article is devoted to the development of a unified automated control system for the KazSat-2 and KazSat-3 spacecraft based on OPC UA and SCADA system standards. The paper examines the existing problems associated with different approaches to the construction of hardware and software management systems. This leads to an increased burden on operators and the risk of erroneous actions. A solution is proposed that includes the use of SCADA programs and OPC servers to unify the management and processing of telemetry, the implementation of access control, and the issuance of command actions. A pilot project demonstrating the advantages of implementing these technologies is described. Such as improving system reliability, simplifying maintenance and upgrades, and reducing operating costs. The article substantiates the prospects of the proposed system for improving current operation and creating the foundation for future upgrades.
