Analysis reveals design strategies differ in digital media, with federal sources emphasizing standardization while regional outlets focus on local engagement.
The research is devoted to the study of the layout and composition of the main pages of federal and regional media in the context of digital media transformation. Based on the analysis of websites (“Komsomolskaya Pravda”, “Rbc.ru”, “Gazeta.ru”, “74.ru”, “Ura.ru” and others) revealed key differences in design strategies. Federal publications focus on unifying the structure through modular grids and minimalistic color solutions, providing cross-platform adaptation. In contrast, regional media update local content. Interactive elements (sliders, video inserts) dominate federal resources, while regional ones more often use basic solutions (hover animations). The work highlights the dual nature of web media design: technological standardization that meets the requirements of multi-device, and culturally oriented approaches that enhance the engagement of the local audience.
