This study aims to analyze the current status and factors affecting the outcomes of state management on community-based tourism in the eastern provinces of the Mekong Delta. Exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and a multivariate regression model based on data collected from 398 survey questionnaires across the region were used. Five key factors affecting the development of community-based tourism were identified: infrastructure, community tourism product promotion policies, awareness of local authorities, natural resources, and labor qualifications. Promotion policies, infrastructure, and labor qualifications were found to have the strongest impacts. The research results clarify the relationship between these factors and the level of community-based tourism development, contributing to the scientific foundation for policy-making and sustainable tourism development in the studied area. The novelty of the study lies in the quantitative integration of influencing factors in the specific context of the eastern Mekong Delta, a region with great potential that has not yet been effectively exploited.
