Qualitative analysis reveals health impacts and societal reactions in students with gender dysphoria, suggesting deeper understanding is needed.
The traditional gender roles have caused tremendous difficulties for people suffering from gender dysphoria to cultivate their path in society. The current study explored the lived experiences of students suffering from gender dysphoria. The present study included students (adults) from educational settings. The data were collected through semi-structured interviews and analyzed using a thematic analysis approach. The study's findings showed first that the lived experiences of students brought out three main themes for adults, and each further had three subthemes. The main themes included Exploration and Understanding of Gender Dysphoria, Health Impacts, and Societal Reactions. The current study concludes to provide the best possible quality of life and health care for people suffering from gender dysphoria.
