Technique constructs stress-strain diagrams for ChS68-ID clad steel, revealing key deformation patterns.
A technique for constructing a stress-strain diagram (SSD) for clad steel ChS68-ID (ЧС68-ИД) in a non-irradiated state is presented. Based on the results of testing ring specimens for compression in the longitudinal direction to small strains, the initial section of the diagram has been built, and based on the results of testing pre-ovalized specimens for tension to failure, a section of the diagram corresponding to large strains has been built. The coefficients of approximation of the SSD model were found by minimizing the standard deviation of the experimental data from the calculated ones. Analysis of the stress-strain state of a clad made of steel ChS68-ID in the non-irradiated state by the finite element method, using the obtained SSD showed good convergence of the estimated strength properties with those obtained experimentally and a considerable difference in the plastic shear deformation.
