Literature review analyzes AI's role in enhancing learning experiences and pronunciation in non-native speakers.
Arabic language learning has evolved significantly with the advancement of technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI), providing innovative tools to support non-native Arabic learners. This study aims to systematically review the latest literature on the role of AI in Arabic language learning for non-native speakers. Following PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic reviews and Meta- Analysis) technique, 7 relevant studies obtained from Google Scholar and EBSCO and published between 2021 and 2024 were analyzed based on well-defined inclusion and exclusion criteria. The results reveal three main areas in which AI contributes; 1) enhancing speaking proficiency, 2) improving pronunciation through speech recognition, and 3) enhancing the overall learning experience. However, challenges were identified, particularly in pedagogical approaches and the performance of speech recognition systems. This review highlights the potential of AI in Arabic language learning and provides insights for educators, policymakers, and developers to enhance AI-based learning solutions.
