Theoretical evaluation of adhesion in wood composites using synthetic resins, highlighting bonding strength.
The theoretical aspects and principles of gluing wood composite materials, using various synthetic resins — amino- and phenol-formaldehyde — have been considered. A theoretical justification and evaluation of work of adhesion during the formation of wood materials, using these synthetic resins are given. It is noted that the high bonding strength of wood and a polymer matrix is a fundamental factor in the production of composite materials with high physical-mechanical characteristics.
