Design reduces aero-engine profile size by 12.1%, while optimizing installation structure weight by 10.7%.
In order to reduce the profile size and structural weight of the aero-engine, the structural design and optimization of the accessory casing motor built in front of the bearing cavity of the engine are carried out. According to the internal demand analysis of the motor, the layout scheme of the installation structure is determined. This reduces the engine profile size by 12.1%. We carry out the detailed size design of the structure and complete the geometric modelling. The front bearing seat with a large weight ratio is selected as the main body of structural optimization, and the weight of the structural function is minimized. The multi-objective optimization algorithm is used to reduce the weight of the installation structure by 10.7%. Using the simulation software, the key parts of the installation structure are analysed in statics, modes, and thermodynamics. The results show that the installation structure not only meets the requirements of reducing the profile size and structural weight of the aero-engine, but also ensures the stability of normal operation.
