Training sessions improved teaching practices in Achaia, highlighting the role of drama-based pedagogy.
In this paper we present parts of the training sessions on Drama-based Pedagogy, organised by the Cultural Affairs Departments of the Directorates of Primary and Secondary Education of Achaia, during the academic year 2017 – 2018. We present indicatively the design and structure of a typical training seminar through all its stages of development as well as the assessment of its contribution to the improvement of teaching practices. The information used for our analysis derived from statistical data referring to training assessment personal questionnaires completed by the participants, as well as from the analysis of the interim and final evaluation reports of the Programmes. Moreover, we present the data analysis and the results that have derived from the practical use of drama techniques applied in the educational process and we argue for the possibility of reframing teaching within them.
