This paper aims at exploring the relationship between school leadership and intercultural education in the context of the multiculturalism of modern Greek society. That is, whether the director of a school with multicultural characteristics, where heterogeneous students at ethnic, religious and linguistic level, through his institutional role, with his leadership skills and talents, can promote interculturalism, smooth coexistence and cooperation. The sample of the research concerns eight executives of Primary Education, principals of primary schools of the Greek territory. The analysis of the results highlights the importance of the role of transformational leadership, the need for good communication between all involved (teachers, students / parents, parents, institutions, etc.) and the implementation of effective-innovative practices, as factors that: a) promote the common vision of a multicultural school unit, b) enhance the alleviation of prejudices and attitudes and c) promote the creation of environments of healthy coexistence and interaction.
