Quantitative assessment reveals leadership skills in digital environments during Covid-19, showing a shift towards technical skills in private school organizations.
The purpose of this article is to investigate the skills that managers of school organisations are required to have in digital environments. Specifically, the research took place during the Covid-19 pandemic and specifically during the implementation of tele-education. A primary quantitative method was used for its implementation with the methodological tool of questionnaire. Specifically, Northouse"s (2010) questionnaire was utilized in an adaptation of Katz"s (1955) questionnaire and the sample of the research were 20 managers of privateschool organizations in Greece. The results of the study showed that the skills of the managers were associated with the existence of technical skills during the pandemic period compared to the human skills required for the pre-pandemic period. The demographic characteristics (gender, age, marital status, years in that position, educational level, job position) of managers did not seem to be related to the level of technical competencies during the pandemic.
