This paper critically examined the role of constituency projects in prompting the dividends of democracy in Nigeria. It explores how these projects intimated and influenced by elected representatives are designed to deliver public goods and services directly to local communities, thereby bridging the gap between government and the governed. Drawing on both qualitative and qualitative data, the study evaluates the effectiveness, transparency, and impact of constituency projects across the different geopolitical zones of the country. Findings show that while Constituency Project has its potential to enhance democratic dividends such as infrastructure development, employment, and improved service delivery, they are often marred by issues of corruption, poor oversight and politicization. The paper concludes that for constituency projects to serve as true instruments of democratic consolidation and national development. There is a need for stronger institutional frameworks, greater accountability mechanism and active citizen participation in project planning, execution and management.
