Observational analysis reveals strong influence of mentorship and dynastic codes on industry identity development in students.
The article examines the phenomenon of students’ industry identity as a result of the interaction of pedagogi-cal, social, cultural and symbolic factors. Particular attention is paid to the role of mentorship and dynastic codes in the process of forming a sustainable industry identity. An integral model of this process is presented, including five components: mentoring, dynasticity, symbolic environment, reflection and communicative inter-action. It outlines potential applications of the model in diagnostics, educational environment design, and insti-tutionalization of intergenerational practices. Empirical validation is based on case studies of students from transport and engineering universities engaged in mentorship and dynastic programs. The findings confirm that a combination of meaningful mentorship, intergenerational continuity, and reflective support contributes to the formation of a stable professional identity and enhances students’ engagement with the sectoral communi-ty.
