This case study demonstrates successful in vitro propagation and rhizogenesis in Morus rubra, highlighting its potential economic value.
This article discusses the development of in vitro propagation protocols for species in the Tashkent Botanical Garden collection. Morus rubra L. explants from the collection were cultured in vitro , with various phytohormones tested to optimize plant regeneration. WPM (Woody Plant Medium) with 30% sucrose and 0.2 mg/l BAP was identified as the most effective nutrient medium for explant introduction. Rhizogenesis was successfully induced with 0.5 mg/l IBA, and the plants were acclimatized through a controlled process involving moist vermiculite and growth chambers. This acclimatization process improved survival rates and facilitated the successful establishment of Morus rubra L. plants under ex vitro conditions, highlighting the efficacy of the in vitro propagation protocol.
