The article examines aspects of autistic psychodynamic functioning from Frances Tustin's point of view, asking whether the use of autistic objects and forms can lead clinical practice to transform the symbolic meaning used in objects. Therefore, the methodological design is based on the criteria of Integrative Literature Review, using scientific articles from the BVS-PSI, SciELO and PubMed databases, in a time frame between 2000 and 2023 given the gap in contemporary literature. Consequently, the investigative scope showed that although such objects appear as protective measures, they lead to endless repetitive circles. They provide momentary relief but prevent the child from developing more genuine ways of interacting with objects or the outside world. The aim is to promote differential diagnoses in the clinic, different perspectives and contemporary studies.
