Motivation refers to the set of internal and external forces that stimulate, direct, and sustain behavior oriented toward the achievement of goals and objectives. The aim of this research was to evaluate work motivation among employees of private companies in Saltos del Guairá, using a quantitative, descriptive, and non-experimental methodology. The sample consisted of 80 voluntary participants, who completed a 20-item questionnaire based on a Likert scale. The results indicate that the most highly valued intrinsic motivators are recognition for good performance (4.57) and the opportunity to use one's skills (4.53). The most prominent extrinsic motivators include promotion opportunities (4.60) and tangible rewards. In addition, a positive and collaborative work environment (4.54) and opportunities for professional development (4.57) are considered crucial. To maintain and enhance employee motivation, companies should focus their efforts on providing professional development opportunities, recognition for achievements, and a positive work environment. Moreover, implementing policies that facilitate promotion and offer tangible rewards can significantly increase job satisfaction and performance.
