Amavata is a chronic inflammatory condition recognized in Ayurveda, resulting from the buildup of Ama (undigested metabolic waste) alongside the disruption of Vata dosha. This case presentation focuses on a 45-year-old male who visited the outpatient department (OPD) with a two-month history of joint pain affecting the knees, elbows, and heels, as well as systemic issues such as increased flatulence (present for six months) and thirst (for two months). Through clinical assessment and diagnostic tests, the condition was identified as Amavata. Treatment was administered according to traditional Ayurvedic guidelines, involving Langhana, Deepana, Pachana, and Panchakarma therapies, succeeded by Shamana Chikitsa and diet management. Notable progress was observed: joint pain and stiffness decreased within the first week, while flatulence diminished and overall quality of life improved by the second week. The patient was able to return to normal daily activities without pain, and there were no side effects noted.
