Methodological approach assesses economic efficiency of antistatic additives in propylene polymerization, highlighting import substitution needs.
Currently, the scientific and technological development of the country is included in the sphere of key state interests. Therefore, the issues of systemic and consistent modernization of the fuel and energy complex with the active introduction of innovative and energy-efficient technologies and the implementation of import substitution policies are becoming relevant. In the long term, this will serve to strengthen the competitiveness of the domestic petrochemical industry. The use of polymers in the modern world has a wide coverage of industries from household goods to the production of satellite and rocket parts. A large area of polymer application also imposes corresponding requirements on their properties. The polymer obtained directly in production does not immediately have all the characteristics that the consumer needs, it has only a certain set of parameters that almost always require additional adjustment or reinforcement, which is achieved through the use of those additives that necessitate the development of domestic analogues. It is the solution of issues related to the successful replacement of foreign additives with domestic ones that are of paramount importance, which is especially important in light of the international political and economic situation at present. The purpose of the article is to develop a methodological approach to assessing the economic efficiency of replacing antistatic additives in the polymerization of propylene. In accordance with the stated objective, the article proposes an algorithm for assessing the economic efficiency of developing and implementing various types of antistatic additives in the propylene polymerization process, which describes step-by-step the procedure for assessing the efficiency of developing and implementing various types of antistatic additives in the propylene polymerization process, the use of which formalizes the assessment process and makes it visual and logically structured. Thus, the proposed methodology for assessing the economic efficiency of using various types of antistatic additives in the propylene polymerization process involves calculating a system of indicators such as profit from polypropylene sales, profitability of polypropylene production, etc. In this case, the annual economic effect from replacing the antistatic additive is proposed to be calculated taking into account the predicted change in the integral risk level of the propylene polymerization process due to the proposed replacement of the antistatic additive.
