Introduction: Knee is one of the most complex joints in the body in terms of anatomy considering it’s a combination of Lateral femorotibial, Medial femorotibial and Femoropatellar joints. In this case report, a 17year old girl was brought to the Outpatient Department (OPD) of Kayachikitsa at Shree Swaminarayan Ayurvedic College and Hospital due to extreme pain, swelling, and restricted movement her right knee. She had difficulty walking as well as climbing up the stairs. An outside hospital’s work up which included an MRI scan showed that she had a ligament tear of the knee joint. She received her treatment at Swaminarayan Ayurvedic Hospital where she was diagnosed with Janusandhi Marma Kshat and treated with a specially formulated combination of internal medicines and external medicine appropriate for her condition. Methods: The patient received treatment consisting of internal medications: LakshadiGugulu (2 tablets twice daily), KaishorGugulu (2 tablets twice daily), Ksheerbala Capsule (1 capsule twice daily), and Brumhan Yoga (3 grams twice daily). Additionally, Panchkarma therapy was administered, specifically Parishek, for a duration of 75 days. The primary goal of this regimen was to address the condition using Sandhaniya and Brumhana medications, aiming to promote healing and support the recovery process effectively. Results: The patient was monitored monthly and showed significant clinical improvement after 3 months of treatment, with no reported adverse effects. MRI scans before and after treatment demonstrated notable changes. Discussion: The clinical data from this study indicates that ayurvedic treatment can be an effective approach for managing knee joint ligament tears.
