Case report describes panuveitis and retinal vasculitis post-mpox vaccination, suggesting potential links.
Results A 37-year-old Chinese man presented with bilateral anterior and intermediate uveitis, retinal vasculitis and unilateral acute posterior multifocal placoid pigment epitheliopathy (APMPPE) 2 weeks following JYNNEOS mpox vaccination. Investigations excluded infectious and systemic inflammatory causes. Multi-modal imaging revealed features consistent with APMPPE in the left eye. His symptoms and clinical signs improved with topical and systemic corticosteroid therapy with no recurrence off treatment over a 9-month follow-up.
