This research reveals how Greitzer's model influences surge and rotating stall in compressors, suggesting key operational thresholds.
This study focuses on a single-stage compressor, examining the behavior of surge and rotating stall phenomena in detail. Based on Greitzer’s model, the progression of these instabilities was modeled using a set of four dynamical system equations, solved using the fourth-order Runge–Kutta method. The effects of throttle and Greitzer coefficients denoted respectively as K and B , on these instabilities are analyzed and compared. The principal transition conditions between these two phenomena are discussed.
