Qualitative analysis shows relationships between positive psychology, quality of life, and sustainable design, suggesting healthier futures.
The aim of this article is to set out some sub-themes relating to positive psychology and well-being, and some connections with the workplace, quality of life and design for happiness. Among the objectives is to relate the sub-themes to the design of environments, in order to generate desirable futures. A qualitative bibliographical research methodology was adopted, presenting the sub-themes of the main theme. The search for well-being in the environment, a function of the interior designer, allows for a healthier life in relation to the balance between the places and spaces defined. Thus, exploring the connection between quality of life, work environment and sustainability reinforced the need to create spaces that fulfill practical functions and also contribute to the development of healthier and more balanced futures.
