Self-Satisfaction in the Production of Food, Beverages and Tobacco in Bulgaria

The report presents the results for the domestic self-satisfaction in the production of food, beverages and tobacco in the Bulgarian food and beverage industry in order to be determined in which sectors of this industry Bulgaria is a net exporter or importer. The reported results are focused on 2021 and 2022 and show that Bulgaria is a net importer of beverages and tobacco and a net exporter only of food. In more details, compared to all sectors of this industry Bulgaria shows the highest results as a net exporter in the sectors production of vegetable and animal oils and fats and production of grain products, starches and other starch products.
