This study aims to categorize the types of subjectivity regarding the fundamental sports rights and priority values as perceived by individuals with developmental disabilities. Q methodology was adopted as the analytical framework. A P sample of 25 adult males with developmental disabilities, all of whom participated in unified football programs, was selected. The Q-sorting process was conducted with the assistance of partner players (non-disabled individuals) and guardians. The results of the Q-factor analysis revealed three distinct types of priority values attributed to fundamental sports rights: ‘Type I: Emphasis on Facilities and Infrastructure’; ‘Type II: Emphasis on Administrative and Legal Systems’; and ‘Type III: Emphasis on Safety and Accessibility’. In conclusion, the study highlights the need for macro-level support such as the expansion of facilities and infrastructure and the reinforcement of legal and institutional foundations. At the individual level, it underscores the importance of ensuring safety, convenience, and transportation rights to guarantee the fundamental sports rights of persons with developmental disabilities.
